Climate activists protest in front of the AD hotel (and are removed)

A group of at least five protesters displayed banners demanding an end to fossil fuels by 2030 and chanted slogans such as, “We will not give peace to this government that wants to kill us.”

The activists sat in front of the main entrance of a hotel near Marquês de Pombal, in Lisbon, and were forcibly removed by members of the PSP responsible for the hotel’s security.

During this electoral campaign, climate activists had also appeared at the last AD rally at Campo Pequeno on Friday, but their protests were barely audible as they were swiftly removed from the scene.

In the 2024 legislative elections, they threw red paint at the entrance of the same hotel where AD gathered to follow the election night, and during the campaign, they hit PSD President Luís Montenegro with green paint at the Lisbon Tourism Exchange.
