The GNR in Braga discovered an abandoned coffin this morning near the National Road (EN) 103, in Braga.
The alert was raised at 10:30 a.m. by an unknown person who reported a “wooden artifact” at the location.
Authorities identified it as a coffin, showing signs of aging such as rust but containing no “biological traces inside.”
The Braga GNR is “investigating the origin” of the coffin, which was subsequently collected by municipal services as “rubbish.”
The discovery was made on the roadside of National Road 103, on the outskirts of Santa Lucrécia de Algeriz, in an unsupervised open field.
