A collision between a Carris Metropolitana bus and a passenger car resulted in one fatality on Saturday in Loures, in the district of Lisbon.
The alert for the collision was given at 6:05 PM, according to information published on Facebook by the Camarate Volunteer Fire Department.
A source from the Sacavém Volunteer Fire Department told Lusa that the accident, which occurred on National Road 250 near the Quinta da Fonte neighborhood in Loures, also caused one minor injury.
According to the deputy commander of that fire department, Hélder Dias, the fatality was a man between 30 and 40 years old who was in the car. The minor injury was sustained by a 10-year-old child who was on the bus and was treated at the scene.
The Sacavém Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene with two ambulances and a rescue vehicle, mobilizing nine operatives.
