Traffic on Highway 22 (A22) has been interrupted since 5:25 AM near the parish of Paderne, in the Albufeira-Faro direction, due to a collision between two heavy vehicles, resulting in a minor injury, according to a source from Civil Protection.
“The two heavy goods vehicles collided, and one caught fire. There is one minor injury, who was transported to the Hospital of Faro,” stated a source from the Algarve Sub-Regional Command to Lusa.
This same source reported that the A22, commonly known as the Via do Infante, is closed in both directions near the parish of Paderne, at kilometer 56, in the Albufeira-Faro direction.
At 7:30 AM, 28 operatives were on-site, supported by 11 vehicles.
