An accident occurred shortly before 6:30 PM on Rural Road 361 in the locality of Fráguas, as reported by the Santarém Sub-Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection.
Two fatalities were confirmed at the scene by the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicles (VMER) teams from Santarém and Caldas da Rainha. The deceased were the occupants of the motorcycle involved in the accident.
Two other individuals sustained injuries and received assistance at the scene.
The rescue operations involved 11 vehicles and 26 operatives.
