According to Carlos Martins, the commander of the Bragança Fire Department, the deceased was a 31-year-old who died at the scene. The death was confirmed by the team from the VMER (Emergency and Resuscitation Medical Vehicle).
The alert was received around 2:20 AM. The driver of the van was also a man, traveling in the opposite direction to the motorcycle.
