A collision between two passenger vehicles at kilometer two of the A1 highway, in the Alvarce-Lisbon direction, is causing significant traffic congestion and complicating access to the Vasco da Gama Bridge and the IC17 – CRIL.
The National Republican Guard confirmed the information and has dispatched units to the scene.
According to the Sacavém Volunteer Firefighters, a woman approximately 60 years old is receiving medical assistance on-site, categorized as a minor injury.
It is currently unclear whether she was the driver of one of the vehicles or a passenger.
At least the right lane is reported to be closed, according to the firefighters.
