“The poster for the Festival Coimbra BD 2025 is by Daniel Henriques, a Portuguese comic book creator with over a decade of experience in the industry,” the city council noted.

Daniel Henriques has worked for publishers such as Marvel, DC, Image, and Dark Horse Comics, with works like “Spawn, The Last Shadowhawk,” “Venom, The Incredible Hulk,” “Batman: Detective Comics,” “Batman: Arkham Knight,” “Green Lanterns,” “Justice League of America,” “Supergirl,” and “Teen Titans e Aquaman,” as mentioned by the city council.

“Recently, he partnered with Frank Miller on ‘Ronin Rising,’ providing finishes and half-tones for the artwork of Philip Tan and the creator himself, and is set to debut soon as a writer and co-creator of the new series ‘The Curse of Sherlee Johnson’ from Todd McFarlane Productions,” they added.

This edition of the festival will feature “new areas and content, including various film sessions, card and board game competitions, and demonstrations of Warhammer and Dungeons and Dragons.”

“The Artists’ Alley remains a major highlight with dozens of great talents showcasing their works and art, along with a commercial area where publishers will present comic book and literature works as well as merchandising distributors will offer a variety of products related to pop culture featuring beloved characters and titles,” it emphasized.

The Festival Coimbra BD 2025 will take place at the Convento São Francisco with free admission throughout the three days.
