Adecco has announced the launch of a recruitment drive for Christmas, at a time when companies are strengthening their teams. There are “over 1,000 vacancies across the country,” according to a statement released to the media.
“The initiative is a response to the significant increase in demand for talent at this time of year, especially in the logistics, retail, and services sectors, which traditionally face an intensification of operations during the festive period,” the statement read.
Adecco emphasizes that, “despite being temporary, these opportunities can represent much more than a short-term contract.”
“For many candidates, it is a first contact with the job market, a return to professional activity, or a strategic step in building a future career,” the statement continued.
Among the most sought-after profiles are customer service personnel, logistics operators, restockers, packaging workers, among others. The vacancies are distributed across various regions of the country, with a higher concentration in Lisbon and Porto.
“Applications are processed through the campaign’s landing page, where candidates can view all available positions and submit their applications quickly and intuitively. The vacancies will be promoted throughout November and December, with a particular focus on Adecco’s social media and digital channels,” it reads.
Additionally, “to further support candidates during this period of high demand, Adecco also offers the CV Maker, a free, intelligent tool that enables the creation of professional resumes in just a few minutes,” and the “tool is accessible to everyone, even those starting their professional journey.”
“At a time marked by economic and professional challenges, this campaign also represents a contribution to revitalizing the job market and valuing temporary employment as a legitimate entry point for new opportunities,” the statement noted.
Vanda Santos, Director of the Service & Quality Department at Adecco Portugal, reveals, as mentioned in the same statement, that “this campaign is a real opportunity for integration.”
“Over the years, we have seen many of these contracts turn into permanent positions. The most important thing is to ensure that every experience, no matter how brief, allows skills development and opens doors to new opportunities,” she adds.
