
According to the European statistical service bulletin, the indicator fell by 0.5% in the euro area in comparison to August, while it remained stable across the EU member states.
Among the member states with available data, Slovenia (25.7%), Slovakia (18.7%), and Hungary (15.1%) recorded the highest year-on-year increases in construction production. In contrast, Spain (-4.8%), Austria (-3.1%), and Germany (-2.2%) experienced the largest declines.
Regarding month-on-month variation, the Czech Republic (-3.3%), Spain (-1.5%), and France (-1.3%) showed the most significant decreases, whereas Hungary (16.3%), Romania (7.7%), and Slovenia (5.0%) reported the highest increases.
In Portugal, the indicator rose by 3.6% year-on-year but fell by 0.1% month-on-month.
