A recent estimate by the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission reveals that the consumer confidence indicator remained generally stable in November, both in the EU (-0.1 percentage points) and the euro area (zero percentage points).
“With a score of -13.6 (EU) and -14.2 (euro area), consumer confidence remains below its long-term average,” according to the Commission’s executive services.
This data is published monthly by the European Commission and is based on surveys conducted with consumers.
The consumer confidence indicator is calculated using survey data from EU consumers, covering expenses and private final consumption.
