A recent estimate published today by the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission indicates a slight increase in consumer confidence this September, with a rise of 0.5 percentage points in the European Union and 0.6 percentage points in the eurozone.
“Currently scoring -14.3 points in the EU and -14.9 in the eurozone, consumer confidence maintained a generally stable trend, significantly below its historical average since April 2025,” stated the executive services of the community.
These data are released monthly by the European Commission and are based on surveys conducted among consumers.
The consumer confidence indicator is calculated based on data from EU consumer surveys, covering expenditure and final private consumption.
