Contrasta Festival in Valença with Delfins, Capitão Fausto, and Slow J

The fourth edition of the festival, organized by Ritmos, will take place at the Cortinas de São Francisco in the Fortress of Valença. The event will kick off on Friday with Portuguese ‘pop rock’ and the “timeless energy” of the band Delfins.

Also on the opening day, the festival will feature the ‘indie pop’ with a “dreamy and tropical sound” from Jovem Dionísio.

On Saturday, the stage will be taken over by the ‘indie rock/pop’ group Capitão Fausto, known for their “introspective and poetic lyrics, along with simple yet captivating arrangements.”

The festival will conclude with a performance by Slow J, described as “the vanguard of the new generation of Portuguese artists, who blends innovation and emotion in his productions, shaping the future of the national music scene.”

The general pass for both days of the festival is priced at 20 euros, while the daily ticket can be purchased for 15 euros, with prices increasing from July 1 to 25 and 20 euros, respectively.

Starting Thursday, May 29, tickets will also be available at the Valença tourist office and the Municipal Library.

The Fortress of Valença has been a national monument since March 14, 1928, and is in the process of being classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The fortress walls span 5.5 kilometers and have been the third most important in Portugal over their approximately 700-year history.
