An arrest was made in Seixal, Setúbal district, on September 4, with the incident now being disclosed.
According to the PSP, the investigation conducted by the Almada Criminal Investigation Squad and the evidence gathered for the case proved that the suspect repeatedly assaulted the victim, his partner, by slapping, punching, and pulling her hair, even suffocating her until she lost consciousness.
It was also proven that the 38-year-old suspect coerced the victim into having sexual relations without her consent and against her will.
Following a final court decision, the detainee was taken to a Correctional Facility to serve a prison sentence.
