The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a 62-year-old woman in the municipality of Mafra to serve a six-year and six-month effective prison sentence.
“The Judiciary Police (PJ), through the Criminal Information Unit, in compliance with an arrest warrant issued by the competent judicial authorities, after information research and operational procedures aimed at locating her, arrested a 62-year-old woman in the municipality of Mafra to serve 7 years and six months of effective imprisonment,” the authority announced this Saturday.
In a statement, the PJ revealed that the woman had been “convicted of the crimes of Embezzlement and Money Laundering, committed in 2015 while working as a solicitor, by a final decision in October 2023.”
“Since then, absent in an unknown location, she has now been located by the PJ, following the issuance of an Arrest Warrant against her,” the statement reads.
The woman was delivered directly to the respective Prison Establishment to serve her prison sentence.
