The list also includes the former deputy in the XV and XIV legislatures, Mónica Quintela, who is a law graduate and lawyer.
Conceição Calhau, a full professor, will be the district representative for Lisbon, and João Carlos Costa, a medical graduate from the Faculty of Medicine of Porto and a radiology specialist, will represent Viana do Castelo.
For Faial, the district coordinator will be Ana Rodrigues, president of the Board of Directors of the Association for the Development and Training of the Sea of the Azores and executive director of the School of the Sea of the Azores, since October 2022.
The national representative for Henrique Gouveia e Melo’s candidacy for the presidency is the former PSD leader Rui Rio.
Gouveia e Melo confirmed his candidacy for the presidential elections in statements to Rádio Renascença on May 14, during the electoral campaign for the snap legislative elections and officially presented it on May 29 at the Alcântara Maritime Station.
The presidential elections are scheduled for January 2026.
