Corticeira Amorim posted a profit of 51.4 million euros in the first six months of the year, an increase of 8% compared to the same period last year, it was announced today.
“After results attributable to non-controlling interests, net income reached €51.4 million at the end of the first half, an increase of 8% compared to the first six months of 2022,” the company said in a statement.
Up to June, Corticeira Amorim’s sales stood at 539.3 million euros, a 1.1% drop compared to the same period last year.
Exchange rate developments had a negative impact on consolidated sales, especially in the cork stoppers business unit (BU), the most affected by the depreciation of the dollar.
Without this effect, consolidated sales would have fallen by 0.8%.
