The lunch will take place from 12:30 pm today at the Official Residence of the Prime Minister, in the palace of S. Bento, and will also be attended by Minister Ana Catarina Mendes, who coordinated the intervention of the executive in the organization of WYD 2023.

WYD took place in Lisbon, Loures, Fátima and Oeiras between Tuesday and Sunday and was attended by about 1.5 million people in the various events that took place in Parque Eduardo VII, in the Belém area and in Parque Tejo, according to the organization.

The day, whose next edition will take place in 2027 in Seoul, is considered the biggest event of the Catholic Church.

Throughout the event, Pope Francis reinforced the message that “the Church is for everyone” and the need to care for the “common home”, the Earth.
