A couple returning home with their young daughter at 11:00 PM on Tuesday encountered three men dressed in black, wearing gloves and ski masks, as they opened their door, according to a statement from the Public Security Police.
“At gunpoint, the suspects demanded the location of the safe containing money. Under threat, the victims handed over an envelope with money and some personal belongings, including mobile phones and jewelry,” the press release states.
Moments later, the suspects fled the scene, and by the time the police patrol was summoned at 1:45 AM, the men were no longer at the residence.
The victims received on-site assistance from an ambulance and a psychologist from the Urgent Patient Guidance Center but did not require hospitalization.
The investigation is now being led by the Judiciary Police.
