The CP has announced that its trains will feature traditional Christmas lights and decorations.

Developed in collaboration with the Valongo City Council, these journeys will offer onboard entertainment and distribute biscuits typical of the Valongo municipality, as stated in the transport company’s press release.

The initiative, which began in 2022, attracted a total of 7,750 passengers in the 2024 edition.

At the end of the journey, travelers can visit the Urban Park of Ermesinde, home to the Christmas Village and “the largest Christmas tree in the country,” according to the statement.

The price for a one-way trip is 13 euros for adults and 6.50 euros for children between the ages of 4 and 12.

Tickets for the Steam Christmas Train also allow travel on the same day on Porto’s Urban trains.
