The suspension of the CPI’s activities, from December 19 to January 6 and from January 12 to 16, was unanimously approved.
The CPI was passed in July following a proposal by the Liberal Initiative. It comprises 24 deputies and has 90 days to investigate the political, technical, and financial responsibilities concerning the current state of the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM).
The inquiry focuses on INEM’s actions during the strike in late October and early November 2024 and the political oversight relationships with the institution since 2019.
