A vehicle reportedly veered off the road and struck a pole, causing it to fall, stated a source from the Porto Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command.
The source indicated a lack of information regarding the conditions in which the accident occurred, particularly if it might be linked to the adverse weather affecting the region.
“At the moment [around 9:50 AM], we are awaiting the arrival of resources to remove the pole and reopen the street to traffic,” the source added.
Firefighters from Moreira da Maia, Pedrouços, Leça do Balio, and INEM were dispatched to the site.
