A collision between a car and a bicycle in Carvide, within the Leiria district, claimed the life of a woman in her 40s today, who was riding the bicycle.
The Leiria Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Sub-Command informed that the alert was raised at 09:45 a.m., and her death was confirmed at the scene, on Avenida Tenente-Coronel Joaquim Duarte Alves.
The emergency response involved eight operatives, two ambulances from the Vieira de Leiria Volunteer Firefighters, a Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER), and a vehicle from the GNR.
