
A cyclist was seriously injured on the afternoon of Wednesday after colliding with a gas cylinder transport van, resulting in the cyclist being thrown, according to the Bragança Fire Department.
The 65-year-old victim reportedly struck the “rear side” of the cargo vehicle, which “was on the road,” but it remains unclear “under what circumstances” the gas transport van was moving.
According to the Bragança Fire Department, after the collision, the man was projected “to the roadside,” suffering a “severe cranioencephalic trauma, chest injuries, and injuries to the left arm.”
He was transported to Bragança hospital.
The accident occurred at 6:53 p.m.
The GNR was present at the scene and recorded the incident.
