The Danish company Eurowind opened the Triana solar plant in Alenquer, its first photovoltaic project in the Portuguese market, and still has other solar projects to develop in our country.
This was confirmed by Eurowind’s General Director for Southern Europe, in statements to ‘Expresso’, explaining that this solar plant consists of a 22-megawatt (MW) photovoltaic park, with more than 40,000 solar modules, and that it occupies more than 30 hectares.
In addition to this solar plant, Eurowind has been working on small production units that add up to about 50 MW of power in several locations, such as Castelo Branco, Covilhã, Vouzela and Bragança, as well as several hybrid projects.
With regard to hybrid projects, a 28 million euro investment is underway in Castelo Branco for the production of green hydrogen, and two more larger-scale projects are also planned.
