The physical and financial execution deadlines for projects under certain PDR 2020 measures have been extended by the management authority of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (PEPAC) on the mainland, aiming to provide flexibility for the execution of the approved projects.
Specifically, for some PDR 2020 measures, the specific legislation requires that the last payment request be submitted six months before the program ends. This deadline must now be changed to three months to align with the new schedules created by these extensions.
The new deadline of September 30 applies to the last payment requests under several measures, including Action No. 1.0.1, “Operational groups,” Measure No. 1, “Innovation,” Support No. 2.1.4, “Information actions,” within Action No. 2.1, “Capacity building and dissemination,” Measure No. 2, “Knowledge,” Action No. 5.1, “Creation of producer groups and organizations,” and Action No. 5.2, “Interprofessional organizations,” Measure No. 5, “Production organization.”
Also covered are requests under Support 6.2.1, “Prevention of disasters and natural catastrophes,” Measure No. 6, “Risk management and restoration of productive potential,” Operation 7.8.5, “Conservation and improvement of forest genetic resources,” Measure No. 7, “Agriculture and natural resources,” and Operation 8.1.1, “Afforestation of agricultural and non-agricultural land,” Measure No. 8, “Protection and rehabilitation of forest cover.”
To accommodate the new deadlines, the regulations related to Action No. 10.2, “Implementation of strategies,” Action 10.3, “Cooperation activities of local action groups (GAL),” and Action No. 10.4, “Operation and animation,” Measure 10 “LEADER,” are also amended.
Lastly, the deadline for Operation 20.2.4, “Observation of Agriculture and Rural Territories,” Measure “Technical Assistance,” is altered.
Issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Sea, the ordinance published today takes effect on Wednesday.
