Debate with everyone in Lisbon was the 6th most watched program of the day on RTP1

“After SIC broadcasted the first Lisbon Chamber debate on September 15 with only the main candidates (Carlos Moedas, Alexandra Leitão, João Ferreira, and Bruno Mascarenhas), the second debate included all nine candidates for the Lisbon Chamber,” stated Universal McCann (UM), the media agency of the IPG Mediabrands group.

This debate was broadcast live on RTP1 from the MUDE – Museum of Design and Fashion in Lisbon.

“With broadcasts on RTP1 and RTP3, the debate achieved good audience levels, with higher ratings on RTP1,” UM noted.

On RTP1, “the debate was the sixth most-watched program of the day, while on RTP3 it was the fourth most-watched.”

On the public broadcaster, the debate recorded “a total audience of one million and 80 thousand viewers, corresponding to an average audience of 231 thousand viewers and a share of 6.7%,” it reported.

However, it is noted that “yesterday’s [Thursday’s] debate had a lower audience than the debate broadcast by SIC on September 15.”

Analyzing the total daily audience among generalist channels, “TVI led with a share of 15.4%, followed by SIC, which recorded a share of 14.5%.”

RTP1 “ended the day in third place with a share of 10.7%, while RTP3 had a share of 0.9%.”
