There’s a real race for health insurance in the face of the SNS’s problems. According to the latest data from the regulator, the number of Portuguese with health insurance (individual or group) will exceed 3.4 million by 2022.
This is 400,000 more than in 2020 (the year the Covid-19 pandemic hit Portugal), according to the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority (ASF).
