Did you enjoy the beach? Rain returns starting Tuesday.

Could you take advantage of the inviting beach weather? You might be able to do so on Monday, but weather conditions are expected to change starting Tuesday, according to forecasts from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

“The presence of a large-scale depression centered near the Azores will lead to some light showers during the week, which may become moderate from Friday. The wind will generally be light and from the southern quadrant,” the organization highlighted in its forecast for the week of March 31 to April 6.

In this context, although “high temperatures” are expected on Monday, a “progressive descent” is anticipated over the following days.

However, the IPMA emphasized that temperatures “should remain above the seasonal values, particularly in the northern half of the mainland territory.”

In the interior North and Center regions, “the maximum temperature should range between 16°C and 26°C.” In the southern region, temperatures will be between 18°C and 24°C, while “in coastal areas, maximum temperatures will range from 17°C to 25°C.”

The minimum temperature “should range between 4°C and 11°C in the northern and center interior regions” and “between 7°C and 11°C in the southern region,” with the entity noting “that in coastal areas, values should oscillate between 9°C and 14°C.”
