The initial debate involved Luís Montenegro of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and Paulo Raimundo of the Democratic Unitarian Coalition (CDU) on TVI. Key topics included the controversy surrounding the family business Spinumviva, with the CDU leader asserting that “the most honorable action” for the prime minister would have been to “resign.” Montenegro responded by emphasizing that “there is nothing that can be attributed” to his “conduct.”
In a separate debate, Inês de Sousa Real and André Ventura tackled issues such as sexual crimes and immigration, with exchanges of accusations from both sides.
