Almost the entire continental region will be under orange weather warnings on Wednesday, November 5, due to heavy showers. Out of the country’s 18 districts, only Bragança will have a yellow warning for that day.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has forecasted that bad weather will be felt mainly in the morning, with periods of rain or sometimes heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms. The IPMA predicts that hail may also fall.
Consequently, the institute has already issued an orange alert for all districts except Bragança for November 5. However, it is important to note that heavy rainfall will start affecting the northern coastal districts from midnight, with a yellow warning starting at that time.
Aveiro, Braga, Coimbra, Leiria, Lisbon, Porto, Setúbal, and Viana do Castelo will be under this warning from 3 AM to 9 AM on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Beja, Castelo Branco, Évora, Guarda, Faro, Portalegre, Santarém, Vila Real, and Viseu will have their alerts starting at 6 AM and extending until noon.
All districts, without exception this time, will remain under yellow warning until 3 PM on Wednesday.
In addition, the IPMA also predicts a decrease in maximum temperatures.
