
Fuel prices are expected to display mixed trends at the start of next week, with diesel set to become cheaper and gasoline more expensive.
The price of diesel is projected to decrease by 0.5 cents, while gasoline is anticipated to rise by 1 cent, according to industry sources referenced by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP).
The Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG) reported that as of Friday, April 4, the average price per liter of diesel in Portugal was 1.60 euros, while gasoline was priced at 1.748 euros.
“It is also noticeable that, compared to September 1, 2024, current prices reflect an increase of 7.3 cents for both diesel and gasoline,” the ACP noted.
Should these forecasts be confirmed for the upcoming week, the average price for simple diesel is expected to be 1.55 €/l, while simple gasoline 95 is anticipated to rise to 1.758 €/l.
