The “U outro lado” tour by Delfins is set to commence on December 1 in Lisbon at the Teatro Tivoli, concluding on January 17, 2026, in Aveiro at the Teatro Aveirense, as stated by the band’s agency in a recently released announcement.
Throughout December, Delfins will perform “U outro lado” in Coimbra on December 5 at Convento São Francisco, in Braga on December 12 at Fórum Braga, and in Porto on December 27 at Casa da Música.
The tour’s name is derived from their 1988 album “U outro lado existe,” described as a pop manifesto that ingrained itself in the national songbook with hits like “1 Lugar ao Sol,” “Aquele Inverno,” and “Bandeira.” The album also serves as a statement of principles, emphasizing a less obvious, more intimate side, where the true essence of a band resides.
Delfins emerged in 1984 in Cascais, having begun to form a few years prior, and became one of the most successful Portuguese pop bands in the 1990s.
The group’s debut album, “Libertação,” featuring a rendition of António Variações’ “Canção do engate,” was released in 1987, while their last album, “Babilónia,” came out in 2002.
Among their well-known songs are “Nasce Selvagem,” “Ao Passar Um Navio,” “A Queda de um Anjo,” “Soltem os Prisioneiros,” “Sou Como Um Rio,” and “Saber Amar.”
In 2022, Delfins returned to the stage, more than a decade after their last concert on December 31, 2009, in Cascais, the city from which they hail.
Their return was initially scheduled for 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic postponed it by two years, eventually taking place at the Rock in Rio Lisboa festival.
On April 6 of last year, they celebrated 40 years of their career with a sold-out concert at MEO Arena in Lisbon.
Tickets for the “U outro lado” tour are available for purchase on the Ticketline platform and at the box offices of the venues hosting the concerts.
