
The arrest was carried out on Wednesday by the military personnel of the Special Victims Investigation and Support Unit (NIAVE), as stated by the Territorial Command of Beja of the GNR in a communiqué.
“In the context of an investigation into domestic violence, the Guarda soldiers conducted police inquiries that revealed the suspect exerted physical and verbal violence against the victim,” they explained.
Following the police investigation, NIAVE soldiers executed an arrest warrant on the man.
The accused has already appeared before the Judicial Court of Cuba, where he was remanded in custody.
