Driver caught with drugs (and fake Spanish license) in Anadia

A 57-year-old man was arrested by the Aveiro Territorial Command of the National Republican Guard (GNR) through the Sangalhos Territorial Post on Tuesday, October 14, for drug trafficking and document forgery, in the municipality of Anadia.

“The arrest took place during a road inspection carried out in that municipality, during which GNR officers approached a vehicle whose driver presented a fake Spanish driving license,” the GNR explained in a statement sent to newsrooms this Thursday.

During the investigation, the statement further noted, “it was also determined that the suspect was in possession of narcotic substances, leading to his arrest.”

The operation resulted in the seizure of various materials, including 2,980 euros in cash, 30.1 doses of cocaine, 3.3 doses of heroin, 2.6 doses of hashish, and a fake Spanish driving license.
