
The Public Security Police (PSP) issued a safety alert to drivers this Saturday, urging caution on the roads during this festive season.
“Easter safely. It only takes a second to change everything. On the road, every decision counts. Speeding, distracted driving, or alcohol consumption can have tragic consequences,” stated a notice shared on the social media platform Facebook.
The PSP further appeals to the “responsibility” of all drivers, offering some advice, which can be found below.
PSP’s Advice
- Reduce speed – arrive alive;
- Put your phone away – keep your focus on the road;
- If you drink, don’t drive – choose a safe alternative;
- Protect your passengers – always use seat belts.
Emphasizing their presence, given the ongoing operations specially designated for this festive season, the authorities caution: “Safety begins with your behavior. Be an example. Drive consciously.”
Today, by the PSP and the National Republican Guard were revealed. Over the past week, the authorities detained approximately 1,150 individuals in special Easter operations, with more than half apprehended for either drunk driving or without a license, according to provisional reports from both entities.
