“Licensed in Economics, Dulce Veloza joined the Regional Public Administration of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in November 1990. Over nearly 35 years of her career, she performed various roles with dedication and excellence,” highlights the government of Madeira in a statement.
Dulce Veloza served as deputy director of the Regional Budget and Accounting Directorate and later of the Regional Budget and Treasury Directorate.
In 2020, she was appointed as the regional director of Budget and Treasury, “a position she held with recognized merit until the date of her passing.”
The Regional Government emphasizes that “she will always be remembered for her exceptional work capacity, professionalism, and dedication to the public cause, guiding her actions with a deep sense of responsibility and rigor.”
“Her integrity, dynamism, and tireless commitment to the financial management of the region leave an important mark on the memory of all who interacted with her and on the history of our Regional Administration,” it adds.
The Madeira executive expresses its deep sorrow and extends condolences to the family and friends of Dulce Veloza, as noted in the statement.
