Through its subsidiary EDP Renováveis, S.A., in which it holds a 71.3% stake, EDP has completed the sale to Encavis of a 100% stake in a 207 MWac (248 MWdc) operational solar portfolio in Italy, with a potential expansion of 17 MWdc. The transaction holds an enterprise value of 300 million euros and considers potential synergies from hybridization.
According to EDP, the portfolio includes five operational solar projects and their respective lands located in the Lazio and Puglia regions of Italy, with an average lifespan of less than one year. Four of these projects benefit from long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), while the other project benefits from a 20-year Contract for Difference (CfD).
