The energy company EDP reported a recurring net result of 752 million euros in the first half of this year. Excluding contributions from asset rotation gains, which were non-existent this semester compared to 184 million euros in the same period of 2024, the underlying net result saw a 27% increase.
This growth was driven by the addition of 3.1 Gigawatts to renewable capacity, a 12% increase in total electricity production with strong contributions from operations in the United States (90% renewable), and a solid performance from electricity networks in Portugal, Spain, and Brazil.
