According to the Coimbra Regional Civil Protection Command, “the fire is in a forested area and, for now, there are no localities at risk.”
The alert was issued at 11:09 AM today in Caneiro, in the parish of Lorvão, Penacova municipality, Coimbra district.
As of 12:10 PM, the fire mobilized 242 personnel supported by 57 vehicles and eight aerial units, as indicated by the National Civil Protection Authority’s page.
