At a time when there are increasing instances of fraud and scams associated with job offers, caution is paramount.
If you are searching for work, DECO PROTeste recommends considering the following eight points:
- On the internet, avoid searching for jobs on social networks, limiting your search to recognized websites or the direct employer entities.
- Never click on links in advertisements sent by email or SMS.
- The website of the entity in question (whether a recruitment company or the employer itself) should start with https://, indicating it is a secure web page.
- Be cautious with mailboxes and companies for which no information is available, such as addresses or phone contacts.
- If called for an interview, visit the company’s website (even if it is a recruitment company) to learn about its history and verify that the address matches the location provided to you.
- Try to obtain opinions from a company employee or someone who can provide more information about the organization.
- Throughout the recruitment process, do not hesitate: ask all necessary questions about the role, the company, offered conditions, etc.
- Do not sign any document without a careful reading that clarifies all clauses. If you have doubts, ask questions.
