An emergency incident occurred at 9:57 PM on the victim’s property. According to the National Republican Guard (GNR) in Vila Real, the man was performing maintenance work on the tractor’s trailer when the accident happened, resulting in him being crushed.
Rescue teams attempted resuscitation procedures, but death was declared at the scene, the source added.
The Sub-regional Command of Alto Tâmega and Barroso reported that firefighters from Vidago, a Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Unit (VMER) from Chaves, and a team of psychologists from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) were dispatched to the location.
The GNR was also present, with 20 personnel supported by seven vehicles.
