An accident on EN333 near Talhadas was reported around 12:00.
Pedro Mota, the commander of the Sever do Vouga Fire Department, stated that the deceased was the driver and sole occupant of the light vehicle.
The vehicle was traveling in the Águeda – Talhadas direction when it veered off the road and “fell down a slope onto a secondary road,” according to the commander.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the victim trapped and in cardiac arrest, he added. The death was declared at the scene by a doctor from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM).
