
A 79-year-old man tragically lost his life in an accident in a private area where three individuals were cutting eucalyptus. The incident was reported by the Territorial Command of the Guarda Nacional Republicana of Coimbra.
The accident occurred when one of the trees fell on the man, resulting in his death at the scene, as confirmed by the GNR.
The Sub-regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of Coimbra reported that the alert for the accident was raised at 08:25 AM in the village of Venda Nova, located in the parish of Bolho, within the municipality of Cantanhede, Coimbra district.
Emergency response included the presence of three vehicles from the Cantanhede Volunteer Firefighters, the GNR, and the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) from Coimbra hospital.
