
In November, electricity consumption saw a year-on-year increase of 6.6%, influenced by the exceptionally low consumption during the same period in 2024 due to the prevailing temperatures, according to the global system’s electricity manager in a statement.
Adjusting for temperature effects and the number of business days, there was a 2.3% variation in November, consistent with the ongoing trend.
By the end of November, renewable energy sources supplied 68% of electricity consumption, with hydroelectric power featuring prominently with a productivity index of 1.33 (historical average of 1), accounting for 26% of consumption.
