
The full reopening of the EN233 highway to vehicular traffic occurred around 3:00 PM, as confirmed by the Castelo Branco Territorial Command of the GNR.
This national road had been closed in both directions since 9:42 AM, between Alto da Lousa and Ponte de São Gens in the municipality of Castelo Branco, due to a collision involving light vehicles.
As a result of this traffic accident, three people initially sustained serious injuries, including two men aged 30 and 37, and a woman aged 49.
The alert for the accident was issued at 9:42 AM.
Emergency response involved 10 vehicles, 32 personnel, and the INEM Norte helicopter.
