Enrollment for preschool and first-grade students for the coming school year took place from April 22 to May 31. Starting Tuesday, July 1, parents and guardians can check the student placement lists.
After parents and guardians submitted enrollment requests through the Portal das Matrículas, the results are now available. How can they be accessed?
According to DECO PROteste, the lists are published physically. Specifically, the lists are posted at school groupings, requiring parents and guardians to visit in person to consult them.
This information is also clarified by the Directorate-General for Schools (DGEstE), which notes that the enrollment process for preschool and first-grade education should be completed “by the first working day of July.”
“Subsequently, schools publish the list of admitted students by the first working day of July,” they state.
Currently, this information applies only to preschool and first-grade education. Enrollments for other school years are ongoing, with lists to be released on August 1.
Enrollments for students entering fifth grade in September start today and must be completed by July 11 by guardians.
In addition to the fifth grade, from today until July 11, students advancing to the second, third, or fourth grades should also enroll if they are changing schools or guardianship.
Enrollments for students entering the 10th and 12th grades will take place from July 15 to 22.
