The Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports, Margarida Balseiro Lopes, shared on Tuesday her visit to the set of a new series titled ‘Marquesa de Alorna,’ set to air on RTP.
“The Marquesa de Alorna is inspiring a series premiering in 2026 on RTP. Watching the filming at the National Palace of Queluz was an opportunity to witness the production’s enthusiasm for the historical portrait of a woman who was an example of emancipation in her time,” stated a post on the social network X.
This series, according to RTP, is an adaptation of Maria João Lopo de Carvalho’s book, comprising six episodes.
Leonor de Almeida Portugal, known as Marquesa de Alorna, lived from 1750 to 1839 and was a writer, pedagogue, and translator, whose poetic work was only published posthumously.
