
According to the European Union’s statistical service, an analysis of the main components of inflation, as measured by the Harmonized Consumer Prices Index (HCPI), shows that services exhibit the highest year-on-year price increase at 3.5%. This is followed by food at 2.5%, non-energy industrial goods at 0.6%, and energy, which decreased by 0.5%.
Among the euro area countries, Estonia experiences the highest estimated year-on-year inflation rates at 4.7%, followed by Croatia at 4.3% and Austria at 4.1%. Conversely, Cyprus reports the lowest at 0.2%, with Italy at 1.1% and Finland at 1.4%.
In Portugal, inflation as measured by the HCPI is estimated at 2.1% in November.
