In this exhibition in Lisbon, Belgium-born, internationally acclaimed contemporary artist Eva Claessens presents an ensemble of unique pieces she has been working on over the last few months, including canvases, sculptures, drawings and ceramics. Eva welcomes other artists and creative friends who will make brief appearances and site-specific connections in the show, leaving a trace of their visit as if they were dropping in on her studio, as is often the case. The guest of honour is Julian Lennon, the English musician, photographer and philanthropist, who has brought with him several photographs, including some of Princess Charlene of Monaco on her wedding day.

With spontaneity as the leitmotif of the show, Eva reveals the world in which she lives and works, inviting some of her closest friends to share memorable moments: “I want people to feel how I work, my aesthetic, what I need to be able to create. I have friends coming over all the time, just sitting on the floor while I work or helping me with whatever I need. And now that I’m bringing the atmosphere of my home/studio to life in this exclusive show, it made sense to ask my friends to share their work as well,” says Eva.
